Rev. Deldrick Joel LeaSure was born on August 7, 1973 in Oxford, MS and is the eldest of 4 children. An anointed and spirit filled teacher and preacher, Rev. LeaSure developed a love for God at an early age and began his preaching ministry on October 30, 1993 at the age of 20. Six years later, in 1999, he was appointed by the Northeast Mississippi Annual Conference to serve as pastor of the St. Paul CME Church in Oxford, MS.
Under Pastor LeaSure’s visionary leadership, the St. Paul CME Church merged with its sister church, Armstead CME Church, which was renamed Christ Temple CME Church in 2001. Pastor LeaSure served the Oxford, MS community for a total of 8 years. In 2007, Pastor LeaSure was appointed as pastor by Bishop Thomas L. Brown, Sr. to the Cooper Chapel CME Church. During pastor LeaSure’s tenure as pastor of Cooper Chapel, the church experienced tremendous growth both spiritually and physically. Rev. LeaSure served faithfully at Cooper Chapel for 7 ½ years. He was instrumental in leading both congregations through major renovation projects.
Pastor LeaSure realized that God wanted him to do more than just have church - that God wanted him to do ministry. He obeyed and yielded to the voice of God and planted a new ministry. In February of 2015, the vision became a reality, and the New Genesis Christian Church was launched. Pastor LeaSure often tells people that New Genesis is a Church where Jesus is the main attraction and a ministry where new beginnings begin.
Pastor LeaSure holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Science Education from Rust College in Holly Springs, MS. He is married to his soul mate and his partner in ministry, Lady Sharon Tucker LeaSure, who is his biggest supporter and motivator. Pastor LeaSure is the proud father of four daughters: Kyla, Mikaela, Lauryn, and Leah. Although Pastor LeaSure’s ministry spans over 2 decades, he still knows that there is much work to do in the kingdom of God and that the best is still yet to come. He believes that there are many more roads to travel, many more sermons to preach, many more lives to change and many more souls to save. Pastor LeaSure's vision for ministry is to embody the character of Christ, embrace the vision of Christ and empower the people of Christ.
